Interior Design
in Penetanguishene
Rêve Interior Design Studio has spent over 30 years helping homeowners plan and finish spaces that work for how they actually live, and we work with homeowners at Penetanguishene from our studio and showroom just next door in Midland. We combine design expertise with a curated selection of flooring, cabinetry, countertops, tile, and fixtures, so clients get guidance and product selection in one place instead of juggling separate suppliers and separate opinions.
Penetanguishene has its own character within the region: a working harbour, a mix of historic homes near downtown, and waterfront properties along the bay. That mix means no two projects here look quite the same, so we start every conversation by understanding your property and how you use it, then bring in the right level of design support.

Interior Design for Penetanguishene's Older and Waterfront Homes
A lot of homes we design for at Penetanguishene were built decades ago, with original trim, older layouts, and character worth preserving rather than erasing in a full renovation. Our interior design process starts with how the space is laid out and used, then works through cabinetry, flooring, countertops, and fixtures as part of that same plan, so updates improve function without fighting the character of the house.
Waterfront and harbour-adjacent properties bring their own design considerations, from humidity and sun exposure to heavier everyday wear through boating season. We build those realities into the design from the start, rather than treating a waterfront property the same as an inland home.
This is where working with an interior designer, rather than choosing finishes on your own, tends to make the biggest difference. Cabinetry, flooring, countertops, and fixtures all need to work together, and our design consultations are built around getting that coordination right the first time.
How We Work With You
Every project starts with a conversation about your space, your timeline, and how involved you want to be in the details. From there, we recommend one of a few ways to work together:
The mood board
Design component curation—from $500
À la carte design
The technical drawings you need
The Rêve Design Package
White glove service with 3D renderings
Other design services
From furniture layout to in-home consultations
The Mood Board From $500
For smaller updates like a vanity refresh or a single room’s furnishings. A curated set of selections built around a conversation about your vision, without the cost of a full technical process.
À la carte design $900 per room
Best for homeowners or contractors handling one room at a time. Includes an on-site consultation and measurement, 2D CAD layouts with basic colour renderings, and up to two hours of finish and fixture selection across flooring, cabinetry, plumbing, and lighting.
The Rêve Design Package From $2,500
Our full-service option for new builds and whole-property renovations. A six-step process that includes a laminated design booklet with 3D renders, a full construction package with CAD drawings and elevations, and an as-built layout with cost estimates, tracked through a client portal from first consultation to final install.
A Second Opinion
Some clients don’t need a full process, just confirmation. We offer in-home consultations and furniture layout support for homeowners who’ve mostly landed on a direction and want a designer to sign off on the final decisions.
Meet the Team Behind the Process
Designers Jamie Schaack and Emily Reddick lead every project at our studio. You won’t get a sales pitch on the first call. Instead, they’ll ask about how you use the space, what’s not working, and what the project actually needs before recommending a service level. Some clients arrive with a clear vision. Others need help putting words to what they want. Both conversations end the same way: with a clear next step.

FAQ
ask us anything
Do you work with homeowners at Penetanguishene who have older or heritage homes?
Yes. We regularly design for older homes with existing character, and we focus on updates that improve function without erasing the details that make the house feel original.
How do you approach design for a waterfront or harbour-area property?
We factor in humidity, sun exposure, and higher foot traffic when recommending flooring, cabinetry, and finishes, so the materials hold up to how a waterfront property actually gets used.
Is it far to visit your showroom if I'm at Penetanguishene?
No. We work with homeowners at Penetanguishene from a short drive away in Midland, so visiting to see samples in person, or coming back for a second look, is easy to fit into your schedule.
Can you help with just one room instead of a full renovation?
Yes. Our À la carte service is built for exactly that, one room at a time, without needing to commit to a full-property process.
